CLASS DESCRIPTIONS


BARRE & RHYTHM PILATES

Combines the strength, control and precision of Pilates combined with the strength of simple Yoga and Tai Chi flows. Release, restore, length and strengthen. All set to motivating and inspiring music.


DANCE FITNESS FOR BOOMERS

Dancing our way to fitness!! Mobilise joints, improve balance and coordination, all to tunes you will love


CON-FUSION

What happens when you mash up our favourite Fusion tracks with the strength of Metabolic Conditioning? CON-FUSION !! We wanted to add an extra one of these popular classes to our timetable but couldn't decide which one we liked best.  With only one time slot available, we did what we had to do and put them together! You get the best of both and will get the most comprehensive workout - strength, endurance, agility and cardio.  Not to mention FUN!!


FUSION

A high energy class set to motivating music to build strength, cardio and endurance. The most fun you have ever had getting sweaty!! We fuse together boxing, yoga, pilates, weights and other props to challenge, strengthen, stabilise and restore balance and symmetry throughout the muscular system.


METABOLIC CONDITIONING

A full body interval class that works all planes, different energy systems and all muscle groups symmetrically.  Designed to improve strength, power, athletic performance and core stability.  With motivating music as background, this is a fast moving, fun and results driven class that is easily accessible to all levels. Work at your own pace, listen to your body and with consistency, you will see and feel improvements in strength, mobility, stability and cardiovascular fitness


PILATES REACTIVATED

Mat style Pilates updated to accommodate modern day alignment and postural habits. Develop an understanding of how the body moves including awareness of subconscious habits, often the cause of tightness and restriction. Learn to build strength and endurance throughout each day to support and stabilise whether at the desk or enjoying your favourite physical activity.


STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

Incorporates functional fitness concepts in a small group environment to create a motivating class to build strength and cardiovascular fitness. Unites all aspects of fitness - strength, cardio, stability & mobility.  This class particularly focuses on ‘loaded movement sequencing’, which will teach you how to work multiple muscle groups simultaneously and synergistically, providing significant strength and stability gains from head to toe.Suitable for all levels.


STRENGTH FOR BOOMERS

This class provides a healthy and safe space where you’ll be working on most of the elements necessary to healthy ageing. Improve cardiovascular strength, balance, bone density and reverse muscle loss. This will help you manage and reduce the risk of chronic disease while slowing down aging, so that you can make the best of your golden years.


STRETCH & RELEASE

A class purely designed to release and lengthen. Tightness can be caused by any repeated movement or holding pattern. Learn how to gently and effectively release both muscle and connective tissue to unravel the factor of another day and prepare for any sport or activity.


TRX BARRE

Our Barre class taken to the TRX. Experience Barre in a new environment using the TRX Suspension Trainer. Enjoy all your favourite moves made more challenging and some new moves only possible on a TRX. All choreographed to motivating music! This class will take strength, mobility & flexibility to a whole new level - all in a lunchtime friendly time of 45 minutes


TRX EXPRESS

This 45 minute class incorporates the TRX suspension trainers and integrates every muscle group, working the body as a whole to build uniform strength, stability and mobility.  Look forward to variety that may include circuit style training, bosu balls, tabata or interval training.


TRX FLOW

Explore Yoga, Pilates and Mobility training  on the TRX Suspension Trainers. Improve mobility and flexibility through building stability in hips, shoulders, pelvis and spine. Moving slowly demands stability - stability provides increased mobility.  This class will both challenge you and release you. TRX trainers provide the environment to readily adapt to all levels from beginners to advanced.


YOGA BEATS

Run as a pop up class on Sundays - keep an eye on socials and in Studio announcements!


SEASONAL AQUA FITNESS AT THE MOLONG POOL

Very popular blend of aqua fitness and aqua zumba in our very own "private" pool!!  Thanks to the staff at Molong Pool, we enjoy this beautiful facility all to ourselves allowing every participant plenty of space at the depth suitable to them.  Class is on every Sunday at 9.30am, the only thing that gets in our way is the weather (it's always perfect by the way 😊). Bookings are recommended to allow us to be in touch each Sunday to advise any cancellations.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

CHAIR YOGA

Chair Yoga is a gentle class adapting yoga poses with a chair. We move through a full body movement class without the worry of getting down and up off the floor. This class helps us create an awareness and deep relaxation through meditation, breath work and modified yoga postures. A great class for seniors or anyone nurturing an injury or restriction.


YOGA WITH SOUND HEALING

Move slowly through a sequence of Yoga Postures designed to release tension out of the body at the of the day. After 30 minutes of moving, settle into Meditation & a loving Sound Healing Practice delivered through voice, chimes, bowls, nature sounds & a variety of other instruments.

 
FLOW & YOGA NIDRA SOUND BATH 

A 3-in-1 Friday evening practice, this class offers a beautiful end to the week by moving, relaxing and bathing in angelic healing sounds including voice, sound bowls and chimes. The Yoga Flow within this class is simple and peaceful. Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice designed to withdraw you from your senses (Pratyahara) and bring you into the body for healing.


EVOLUTION YOGA
A class to emphasise two limbs of yoga – asanas (postures) and pranayama (breath control). Develop a greater appreciation for the purpose of each asana and it’s correct execution. Explore breath techniques to enhance and support each movement. Increase strength, stability and mobility as you fine tune alignment and enjoy all the benefits of yoga with this vinyasa inspired class.


RESTORATIVE YOGA

Restorative Yoga encourages relaxation through the physical, mental and emotional bodies. Throughout this class we only move five or six times into different poses designed to help release the connective tissue around certain areas and relax the body. We practice being still, soft and calm. We practice bringing the body and the mind back to balance. We practice concentration and meditation. Restorative Yoga is for everybody, and it is just as important as more active forms of movement. Make time for you.  The benefits of this class will flow through to every other activity in your day.


STUDIO SĀDHANĀ

Sādhanā is a Sanskrit word for ‘practice’. The Studio Sādhanā is a one hour set sequence. This allows you to get to know the practice, be confident in the sequence and feel your progression through repetition. Energise yourbody and mind with this moving sequence ofYoga postures including standing postures,

balances, forward bends, heart openers, inversions, breathing techniques, meditation and relaxation. There are three Sādhanā class variations. They are all different and progressively get harder (from 1 to 3). Everyone is welcome in every Sādhanā class.


VIN TO YIN

A class acknowledging the need for balance between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, strength and release, movement and rest, masculine and feminine energies. Enjoy strong movement sequences (Vinyasa style) followed by gentle releases (Yin style) and meditation.


VINYASA KRAMA

Vinyasa Krama means to flow through yoga postures in a intentional sequence. As well as focusing on the movement through the yoga asanas (postures), in this class you will also experience the journey of each pose coordinated with the breath. This class helps us create strength, flexibility and mobility in the physical body and freedom in the mind thanks to the moving concentration practice. Vinyasa Krama offers a strong and challenging movement practice available for beginners and yogis already on their way.


YIN YOGA

Yin Yoga acknowledges the need for rest and stillness. Focusing on the feminine energy (slow, gentle, flow etc.), we allow the body to feel energised, to lengthen and to mobilise through longer holds of certain postures. We also look to follow the meridian (energetic) lines of the body to help you gently support  your own well-being. A slow and gentle class, ending in meditation practice and rest.


YIN YOGA & MEDITATION
Combining Yin Yoga Asanas & our Meditation Practice. Begin this class with 4-5 Yin Yoga Postures to help the body come into balance for Meditation Practice. Learning Meditation is essential for a peaceful mind & a healthy body. 

 


CLASS INTENSITY KEY

Beginner: Simple. Great for anyone who has never done Yoga before or an experienced yogi taking the time to get back to the all-important basics.

Intermediate: Anyone who has done Yoga before and is familiar with the postures and are looking to progress.

Check daily class schedule for intensity levels. If no intensity is indicated, the class is suitable for everyone.
